1. Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using Jetson, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Jetson is operated by Michael Ayton (ABN 66 249 914 730), based in Victoria, Australia.

2. What Jetson is

Jetson is a personal finance app that connects to your bank accounts through Open Banking (Consumer Data Right) to help you track spending, detect subscriptions, set savings goals, and understand your money. The app includes an AI companion that provides general financial information and behavioural guidance.

3. What Jetson is not

Jetson is not a financial adviser, credit provider, or banking service. Under Australian law (ASIC / Corporations Act 2001), Jetson provides general information only. Nothing in the app constitutes personal financial advice, tax advice, legal advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial product. All calculations, projections, and AI-generated responses are for informational and educational purposes only.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and an Australian resident to use Jetson. By using the app, you represent that you meet these requirements.

5. Account

You create an account using Apple Sign In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and the device on which Jetson is installed. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised access to your account.

6. Banking data and consent

When you connect your bank account, you authorise Jetson to access your banking data through Fiskil, an accredited Consumer Data Right intermediary. Access is read-only — Jetson cannot move money, make payments, or modify your accounts. You may revoke this consent at any time through the app or via the Fiskil consent dashboard. Revoking consent will prevent Jetson from accessing new banking data but will not delete data already processed.

7. Subscription and payment

Jetson is a paid subscription service with a 7-day free trial. To access the trial, you may need to provide valid payment details. During the trial period, no charges will be applied. At the end of the trial period, your subscription will automatically renew and your payment method will be charged unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Renewals may be charged within 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Pricing is displayed at the time of purchase. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Settings under Subscriptions. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals only — it does not refund any charge already processed. Refund requests must be made directly to Apple through their refund process. This does not limit any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Account deletion

You may delete your account by contacting us at mick@jetson.money. Upon deletion, we will deactivate your account and schedule removal of personal data from our servers within 30 days. We may retain limited data where required by law (for example, financial record-keeping obligations). Deleting your Jetson account does not cancel any active App Store subscription — you must cancel separately in your device's Settings under Subscriptions.

9. Fair use

We may apply fair-use and technical limits within the app (such as API rate limits and AI message caps) to maintain service quality for all users. If you exceed these limits, functionality may be temporarily restricted.

10. Apple App Store terms

This agreement is between you and Michael Ayton (ABN 66 249 914 730), not Apple. We (not Apple) are solely responsible for the Jetson app, its content, maintenance, support, and any product claims or warranties to the extent required by law. The licence granted to you is a limited, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to use the app on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support services for the app. In the event of any failure to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it upon your acceptance.

11. Accuracy of information

Jetson relies on data provided by your bank through Open Banking. While we aim to present this data accurately, we cannot guarantee that all information is complete, current, or error-free. Transaction categorisation, income detection, and spending calculations are automated and may occasionally be inaccurate. AI-generated responses are based on patterns in your data and general financial knowledge — they may contain errors and should not be relied upon as professional advice.

12. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information during onboarding

• Use Jetson for lawful, personal purposes only

• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or exploit the app or its backend services

• Not use the AI companion to generate content that is harmful, misleading, or illegal

• Verify any financial information or calculations independently before making financial decisions
  
  

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Jetson and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. This includes, without limitation, any financial loss resulting from reliance on information provided by Jetson, inaccuracies in transaction data, interruptions to the service, or decisions made based on AI-generated responses.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Availability

We aim to keep Jetson available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Banking data availability depends on third-party providers (banks and Fiskil) and may be delayed or temporarily unavailable. We may suspend or discontinue the service at any time with reasonable notice.

15. Intellectual property

All content, design, code, and branding in Jetson are owned by Michael Ayton or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the app without our written consent.

16. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at mick@jetson.money. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of Jetson after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of Jetson will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.
